Since the trailer for "Jurassic World Dominion" recently dropped, it's only right to focus on one of the most important stars in the series. Apologies to Jeff Goldblum, but this is all about the dinos, and the "Jurassic" movies would be nothing without them. With that in mind, here is every dinosaur that was spotted in the "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer, listed in the order of how much I'd want to befriend and train them to be in my dinosaur army.

Tyrannosaurus

Despite their disproportionately tiny arms, it would be extremely beneficial to have a Tyrannosaurus as a friend and war machine. It just sounds cool, so it's an obvious choice. Everyone has heard of the T. rex before, and it was the main antagonist in the very first "Jurassic Park" movie that premiered in 1993, cementing its status as the most iconic of all dinosaurs. Due to its hypersensitive hearing, I think it would be a great listener and therefore a great friend and comrade in potential battles.

Giganotosaurus

Another dino that makes an appearance in the trailer is the Giganotosaurus, which has a very intimidating name. The name is also fitting because this creature is so massive that it tops the Tyrannosaurus in both size and power. In the final moments of the trailer, we see it approaching our wide-eyed, clearly terrified protagonists, and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) says, "Why do they always have to go bigger?" If it's good enough to scare an experienced potential dinosaur snack like Ian Malcolm, it's good enough to leave my enemies quaking in awe and fear.

Mosasaurus

Obviously, I can't be a great conqueror if I've only got the means to conquer land. Holding dominion over the sea is essential to maintaining a healthy and balanced dinosaur friendship army, so my third pick would be the Mosasaurus, which is the giant, aquatic dinosaur we see coming out of the water in the "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer. Maybe it's the Floridian in me, but I really like the gator-like aesthetic of the Mosasaurus, so I would be more than happy to welcome it into my circle of friends and fighters.

Pyroraptor

In the entire "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer, the Pyroraptor is probably one of the most interesting-looking dinosaurs. Its name literally means "fire thief" and it sports a lovely coat of feathers all over its body. Even though it can't fly, and little is currently known about this species, its cool factor and predatory nature make it an ideal companion for conquering foes in style. This will be the Pyroraptor's first appearance in any "Jurassic" movie.

Quetzalcoatlus

Further diversifying the range of skills and abilities necessary for my personal legion of prehistoric pals is the Quetzalcoatlus. Unlike the Pyroraptor, this dinosaur can fly. In the trailer, this long-beaked buddy easily overpowers an aircraft and looks awesome doing it. Who needs airplanes when you can have flying dinosaurs? Airplanes run on fossil fuels, which aren't great for the environment. Meanwhile, the Quetzalcoatlus runs on smaller living organisms and produces considerably less harmful waste than a man-made airplane. With the eco-friendly ability to take charge of the skies, they'd make a great addition to my team.

Pteranodon

Pteranodons have been in multiple "Jurassic" movies, making their first on-screen debut in "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" and appearing in every movie in the franchise since then. In the "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer, they're also seen attacking the plane that carries several of our heroes. Having a variety of airborne dinosaurs in my army just seems like a good idea, but they come in second to the Quetzalcoatlus because they don't look nearly as cool, and their names are not as fun to say.

Dilophosaurus

The beloved Dilophosaurus will also be starring in "Jurassic World Dominion," meaning we'll get to see more of their venom-spewing mayhem. Unfortunately, the depiction of the Dilophosaurus in the "Jurassic" universe differs a bit from its real-life counterpart. One of the biggest artistic liberties taken with this delightful dino is that it was not actually able to spit venom like a sinister super soaker. Other differences include its size (it was larger in real life), and its neck frill (they didn't actually have those either). Even though what is arguably the coolest thing about the Dilophosaurus is technically fictional, so is my dinosaur army. If I apply the rules of the movies, then I will have badass venom shooting reptiles at my disposal, which is too good an opportunity to pass up when you're trying to crush your foes in as many different ways as possible.

Therizinosaurus

One of the fine feathered friends we see pursuing Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) in the trailer is my next recruit. Because it's a herbivore, the Therizinosaurus won't be feasting on the corpses of my slain nemeses; however, I think the Therizinosaurus is kind of cute, and aesthetics can go a long way. Why shouldn't my clan of creatures be equal parts pretty and intimidating?

Nasutoceratops

Bearing a close resemblance to the Triceratops, the bi-horned Nasutoceratops would make a fine addition to any aspiring ruler's league of combatants. "Jurassic World Dominion" will be the first time this particular species has ever been in a "Jurassic" movie. In the trailer, we watch as two of these beautiful, tank-like behemoths effortlessly f*** up some fairly large and heavy-looking vehicles, proving they possess both the power and style necessary to help me accomplish my warlord goals.

Velociraptor

Blue is the velociraptor we're first introduced to in "Jurassic World," and now it looks like she has a family of sorts in "Jurassic World Dominion." Blue would rank higher on my list if she had feathers since it has been discovered that a lot of dinosaurs were more birdlike in appearance than popular depictions have led us to believe. Velociraptors are among the dinosaurs suspected of having feathers, and I just think she'd look cool that way. Despite Blue's upsetting lack of feathers, she has shown she's somewhat capable of being trained, which is very a desirable trait in dinosaur minions of any size and species.

Allosaurus

The Allosaurus is seen in the "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer as Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) attempts to outrun the Atrociraptors on a motorcycle, and while its apparent disdain for Pratt is relatable, it just seems kind of unnecessary when I already have so many diverse members in my dino-corps. It reminds me of a smaller version of a Tyrannosaurus, but I guess it is still scary and dangerous enough to join my ranks.

Atrociraptor

The Atrociraptor is seen attacking Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) as he attempts to ride by on a motorcycle. It has a cool name, but that's not enough at this point. Instead, the Atrociprator's predatory nature and go-getter attitude is ultimately why it has narrowly earned it a spot in my army.

Apatosaurus

The Apatosaurus is the second dinosaur featured in the "Jurassic World Dominion," standing tall and proud as workers in hardhats marvel at it. I have mixed feelings about including the Apatosaurus in my dinosaur squad for two reasons. On one hand, it reminds me of a giraffe, and giraffes are some of the most stylish animals to ever exist in our lifetime. On the other hand, it's like a really ugly version of a giraffe that has a long, phallic neck. I don't know if I can be taken seriously by my foes or my allies if I show up on the battlefield with a big walking boner in tow. The Apatosaurus also has the less than stellar traits of being slow and vegetarian, and neither of these qualities is particularly useful in combat.

Parasaurolophus

The first dinosaur shown in the "Jurassic World Dominion" trailer is the Parasaurolophus. I'm just not very impressed by it, and unlike the Atrociraptor, these horn-headed dinosaurs are herbivores who lack the bloodthirst and ferocity necessary to be truly effective in combat. The Parasaurolophus also seems overly friendly with Chris Pratt, and I don't find that trustworthy.

Compsognathus

The skeleton of Compsognathus makes an appearance in the background of the scene featuring Dr. Sattler and Dr. Grant. These tiny carnivores would be wonderful additions to my army due to their speed and numbers, but since we only see the remains of one in the trailer, they didn't make the cut. With few exceptions, skeletons can't enlist in my army, so we'll have to wait and see if they make a more lively appearance in "Jurassic World Dominion" when it debuts on June 10, 2022.
