Upcoming Brie Larson Projects To Keep On Your Radar

(Welcome to On Your Radar, a series where we take a look at what's next for the biggest actors and filmmakers, and why you should be excited...or not.)

Oscar winner Brie Larson has several new projects in the works, and since her social media feeds are currently full of videos of her getting completely jacked before she heads back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you may have missed announcements about a few of them. Here are all of the upcoming Brie Larson movies and TV shows that we know about.

The Marvels

Larson's biggest upcoming project is "The Marvels," the sequel to 2019's "Captain Marvel." This follow-up from "Candyman" director Nia DaCosta will feature Carol Danvers joining forces with fellow super-powered beings Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and it will mark the fifth time Larson will be working alongside Samuel L. Jackson. "The Marvels" hits theaters on November 11, 2022.

Lessons In Chemistry

Earlier this year, we learned that Larson will star in and executive produce this AppleTV+ series. It's a period piece set in the early 1960s, "Lessons in Chemistry" follows Elizabeth Zott, who dreams of being a scientist but unfortunately lives in an era where that dream is not nearly as feasible as it is today. When Elizabeth gets pregnant and loses her job, she takes a gig hosting a TV cooking show and "sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – a lot more than recipes." Susannah Grant, who wrote "Erin Brockovich," is writing the series.

Untitled CIA Drama Series

That's not the only AppleTV+ show Larson has in the works. She's also slated to play a CIA agent in an untitled series from Megan Martin ("Animal Kingdom") that's based on a memoir written by CIA agent Amaryllis Fox. Larson will play Fox, who was in her last year studying theology at Oxford when her mentor was captured and beheaded. That shocking event inspired Fox to change her direction in life, and she eventually developed an algorithm that can predict the likelihood of a terrorist cell arising in any village in the entire world.

Lady Business

Larson, who made her feature directorial debut with "Unicorn Store" in 2017, is scheduled to direct another film called "Lady Business," which she'll produce alongside Lynette Howell Taylor ("A Star is Born"). Larson will also play one of the leads in this true story, which centers on "two young female entrepreneurs, Penelope Gazin and Kate Dwyer, who had to invent a third male company founder in order to be taken seriously in the business world."
