The Best Movies & TV Shows Coming to Netflix July 2021

fear street trilogy trailer

Here comes July, and with it, a whole new bunch of stuff on Netflix. And while you could probably spend hours scrolling around to figure out what the new titles are, we’ve gone ahead and listed them all for you below, free of charge. You might even say we’re heroes. So here’s what’s new on Netflix July 2021, and what you should go out of your way to watch.

Boogie Nights

Boogie Nights isn’t Paul Thomas Anderson‘s first movie, but it is the film that made people sit up and take notice. The filmmaker has only gotten better since then, which is pretty damn impressive since this movie is great. Boogie Nights follows a young, dumb kid (played by Mark Wahlberg) who goes from busboy to porn star seemingly overnight. Streaming July 1.

Not one, not two, but three movies in a trilogy are coming to Netlix. It’s the Fear Street trilogy, an R-rated take on the classic pulpy teen horror books penned by the prolific R.L. Stine. The film trilogy follows a series of interconnected murders spanning several different eras in a town called Shadyside. Fear Street Part 1: 1994 streams July 2Fear Street Part 2: 1978 streams July 9Fear Street Part 3: 1666 streams July 16.

Gunpowder Milkshake Trailer New

Gunpowder Milkshake

Karen GillanLena HeadeyAngela BassettMichelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino all star in this female-driven action pic that follows an assassin who suddenly has a change of heart and decides to protect one of her targets, an 8-year-old girl. Gunpowder Milkshake is streaming July 14.

The Game

I don’t want to call David Fincher‘s The Game “underrated,” but I do feel like when people talk about Fincher’s work, they tend to ignore this one. And they shouldn’t! Because it’s great! Michael Douglas is a cold billionaire who gets sucked into the worst LARPing experience ever. Look for it on July 1.
